Ad Video turns a product or app link into a ready-to-generate video ad. It analyzes the link, imports useful product information and images, suggests ad ideas, and creates a script that you can review or edit before deciding whether to generate a storyboard.

1. Start an Ad Video

Ad Video is optimized for links from Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, eBay, TikTok, Google Maps, Booking.com, Airbnb, and App Store, Google Play.

  1. Open [Ad Video].
  2. Paste a supported product, store, app, or business URL into the link field.
  3. Click [Analyze URL]. Ad Video collects the available product name, description, images, logo, and selling points from the page.
Paste a product or app URL and analyze it

2. Review the Product Information

Check all imported information carefully before building the ad.

2.1 Verify the Product Name and Description

Double-check the [Product Name] and [Description], and correct any missing or inaccurate details. These fields form the foundation for the generated selling points, ad ideas, script, storyboard, and video, so make sure they describe the product completely and accurately before continuing.

2.2 Choose Product Assets

  1. Under [Logo], select the logo to use. Leave all logos unselected if you do not want a logo to appear in the ad.
  2. Under [Primary Images], select the main product image.
  3. Check that the automatically selected Primary Image is correct. If the wrong image was selected, open the [...] menu on the correct image under [Assets] and select [Move to Primary Image].
Move an asset to Primary Images
  1. Under [Assets], select the additional images that can be used in the storyboard and video.
  2. Select [Add New] when you need to upload a different logo or product image.

Choose clear, accurate assets and remove irrelevant or duplicate images. The selected images provide the visual material used to present the product.

2.3 Refine Selling Points

Double-check every generated selling point because these points shape the ad’s message. Make sure each one is accurate, relevant, and aligned with what you want the video to communicate. If the suggestions do not match your direction, delete the unsuitable points and use [+] to add better ones.

Select one selling point to use as the main focus of the ad. The selected selling point affects the ideas generated in the next step, so choose the benefit that best matches your campaign goal and the message you want the video to emphasize.

2.4 Add Promotion and Audience Details

  • Promotional info: Enable this when the ad should mention a sale or special offer. Add the original price, promotional price, and relevant details such as “Free Shipping” or a new-customer discount.
  • Target audience: Enable this when you want the ad to address a specific group. Select one of the suggested audiences or edit the audience description to better match your campaign.

Continue after the product information, selected assets, promotion, and audience are correct.

3. Configure the Video

Choose how the ad should be presented:

Configure the platform, resolution, duration, video type, language, and storyboard style
SettingOptionsWhat It Controls

Click [Continue] when the settings match the platform and campaign you are creating for.

4. Choose an Ad Idea

The idea defines the ad’s main message and how the product will be presented. Because an Ad Video is no longer than 15 seconds, choose only one idea and keep it simple and direct. A focused concept is easier to communicate clearly within the available time than several competing messages.

Before continuing, make sure the idea:

  • Focuses on one message: Prioritizes one product benefit instead of combining several ideas or trying to explain every feature.
  • Fits the audience: Uses a scenario and message that connect with the target audience selected earlier.
  • Has a clear visual hook: Gives the storyboard a specific action, comparison, demonstration, or setting to show.
  • Ends with purpose: Supports an appropriate end card, product name, promotion, or call to action.

4.1 Choose a Generated Idea

  1. Keep [Generated from AI] selected and review each suggested concept. Each option includes a title and a short description of how the product could be presented.
  2. Select the idea with the clearest connection between the product benefit, audience, and visual scenario.
  3. Select [Generate more ideas] if the available options emphasize the wrong feature or do not fit the campaign.
Choose from ideas generated from the product information and selling points

4.2 Write Your Own Idea

  1. Select [Use your own idea].
  2. Describe one straightforward concept, the main action or product demonstration, and the message that should appear on the end card.
  3. Make sure the complete idea can be represented clearly within a video of no more than 15 seconds, and verify product names, claims, prices, and promotion details.
Enter your own concept, visual direction, and end-card message

Click [Continue] after selecting or writing the idea you want to turn into a script.

5. Review the Script and Generate a Storyboard

The script is generated first. Review it carefully, make any necessary edits, and then generate a storyboard before creating the video.

5.1 Review and Edit the Script

Read the complete script and confirm that it communicates the selected idea clearly within the video’s duration. Check product claims, prices, promotion details, names, and pronunciations rather than relying only on the imported page content.

To edit the script, click the expand-script button in the top-right corner of the script section, then revise the text. Keep each line concise and mind the duration for each shot so you don't over pack a shot with too much items. If you selected [Product with Voiceover] or [Talking Video], double-check every voiceover or UGC-style spoken line for accuracy, clarity, natural wording, and pronunciation.

Review the generated script

For more guidance on reviewing and improving your script, see Mastering Ad Scripts.

5.2 Review the Storyboard

Once you finished editing the script, click [Generate Hand-Drawn Storyboard] or [Generate Photo-Realistic Storyboard] (if you choose Photo-Realistic Only in previous step) to generate the storyboard. If you selected “Hand-Drawn + Photo-Realistic,” the hand-drawn storyboard appears first. Review the composition, shot order, and item/camera movement as well as the lighting direction. Then generate the photo-realistic storyboard when the plan looks right. Use the [Hand-drawn] and [Photo-Realistic] tabs to compare the available versions.

The hand-drawn storyboard could use colored arrows or lines to explain motion and lighting that a still frame cannot show:

  • Blue: Camera movement.
  • Red: Character or object movement.
  • Yellow: Light or lighting changes.
Compare the hand-drawn and photo-realistic storyboard styles

The photo-realistic storyboard is mainly for confirming the intended appearance, composition, product presentation, and overall visual direction before committing to video generation. If you selected “Photo-Realistic Only,” review this version directly.

Review each generated storyboard shot and confirm that the sequence supports the approved script and selected idea. Each shot may last only a few seconds or even one second, so make sure the planned visuals and actions fit the available time.

6. Generate the Video

  1. Confirm the final script and, if you generated one, the storyboard.
  2. Click [Generate Video].
  3. Wait for the video to generate, then preview the completed result on the [Video] step.
  4. Watch the full video and verify the visuals, captions, voiceover, product details, and promotional information before downloading or using it in a campaign.

7. Avoid Common Mistakes

Use these checks to create a clearer and more effective ad:

Common MistakeHow to Improve It
Trying to include too much in a 10- or 15-second videoFocus on one simple idea, one main product benefit, and a clear message that can be understood within the selected duration.
Continuing with an incorrect product name or descriptionCorrect the [Product Name] and [Description] first. These details guide the selling points, idea, script, storyboard, and generated video.
Using the wrong Primary ImageCheck the automatically selected image. If it does not clearly represent the product, open [...] on the correct asset and select [Move to Primary Image].
Selecting unclear, irrelevant, or duplicate assetsChoose accurate, high-quality images that show the product clearly and give the storyboard useful visual variety.
Accepting unsuitable selling pointsRemove inaccurate or unimportant points and add the specific benefits that the ad should communicate.
Choosing an idea that is too complicatedUse one direct concept with a clear visual hook. Make sure every part of the idea can be represented in no more than 15 seconds.
Adding too much content to the script or one storyboard shotKeep each script line concise. If you generate a storyboard, remember that a shot may last only a few seconds or even one second, so each planned action must fit its assigned shot.
Skipping the script reviewCheck claims, prices, promotions, names, and pronunciations before deciding whether to generate a storyboard or continue to the video. For voiceover or Talking Video ads, read every spoken line carefully.
Generating a storyboard without reviewing itIf you choose to generate a storyboard, check the shot sequence, movement, lighting, composition, and product presentation before generating the video.
Using the wrong format for the destination platformConfirm the platform, aspect ratio, resolution, language, captions, and video type before continuing.
Publishing without watching the completed videoPreview the full result and verify the visuals, timing, captions, spoken content, product details, and promotional information before using it in a campaign.

No. Select a logo only when it supports the ad and appears clearly at video size. Leave the logo unselected if you want a product-focused video without additional branding.

The selling point you select becomes the main benefit emphasized in the generated ad ideas. Choose the point that best matches your campaign goal, or edit the selling points before generating ideas if none of them fits your intended message.

Captions are useful for Product with Voiceover and Talking Video ads that may be watched without sound. Keep them concise and verify that they do not obscure important product details.

Focus on one simple idea, one main product benefit, and one clear message. Trying to include several concepts or explain every feature can make a short ad difficult to understand.

Choose one direct concept with a clear visual hook that can be represented within the selected 10- or 15-second duration. Generate more ideas or write your own if the suggestions are too complicated or emphasize the wrong benefit.

A storyboard is optional. Generate one when you want to review the shot sequence, composition, movement, lighting, and product presentation visually before generating the video. You can also continue without a storyboard after reviewing and confirming the script.
