Use the CawCut app skill (/cawcut-app) to browse available Apps, find one that matches your task, and provide its required inputs. For simple one-step image or video requests with no matching App, it can route you to cawcut-generate instead.

1. What a CawCut App Is

A CawCut App is a predefined workflow published by CawCut or another creator. Browse available Apps in the Apps overview. The creator selects the inputs end users can provide, such as:

  • A text prompt.
  • One or more images.
  • Video or audio files.
  • Other App-specific inputs.

After the end user provides those inputs, the app runs its predefined workflow and returns the generated result. For details, see how to use an App. If you want to build your own, see how to create an App.

The end user cannot see the app's internal prompts, nodes, or workflow. Only the selected inputs and final result are exposed.

2. How the App Skill Works

  1. Describe your task or enter /cawcut-app in the AI-agent chat.
  2. The skill checks the live App catalog. It can list Apps for discovery or recommend a match for your task.
  3. Choose an App when the skill presents options, then review its description and required inputs.
  4. Provide the requested text and media. Supported inputs depend on that App and may include images, video, or audio. You can provide media from the conversation, a URL, or a local file; local files are uploaded for the App run.
  5. The skill runs the App's predefined workflow and returns the result. Media outputs are saved locally, and the skill reports credit use and balance.

If the App returns media files, the skill passes them to cawcut-vn, which can offer a quick import into VN or a planned editing workflow.

Because each app can expose different inputs, the skill may continue asking questions until all required information is available.

3. Run the Command

Enter the installed app-skill command by itself to browse available Apps:

/cawcut-app

You can also include your intent in the same message:

/cawcut-app List the CawCut Apps available to me and briefly explain what each one does.

4. Prompt Examples

Use these examples as starting points and replace the bracketed information with your own details.

/cawcut-app List the CawCut Apps available to me and briefly explain what each one does.

4.2 Run an App With Prompt and Image Inputs

Attach the image, then enter:

/cawcut-app Use [App Name]. For its image input, use the attached product photo. For its text-prompt input, use: Create a clean, modern 9:16 product video suitable for a social media ad. Ask me for any other required input, then run the App.

4.3 Provide Only the Required Inputs

/cawcut-app Run [App Name]. Use this text where the App requests a prompt: A traveler discovers a quiet coastal coffee shop at sunrise. Use the attached files only for media inputs exposed by the App. Tell me if any required input is still missing.

Follow only the input requirements shown for the selected app. Inputs that are not exposed by the app creator are not needed and cannot be changed by the end user.
